Schelling Saw Operator Details:
Direct Hire position- $
27.00 / hour Full Time work available- Weekend work required
Second Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 01:30pm to10:00pm )
- Set up and operate Schelling (or similar CNC plate saw) equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and cut lists
- Perform precision cutting of aluminum, stainless steel, and other alloys
- Ensure parts meet tolerance requirements (tight tolerance cutting expected)
- Adjust machine settings (feed rate, blade speed, alignment) for optimal performance
- Load/unload material using forklifts or material handling systems
- Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures)
- Maintain production efficiency and meet daily output goals
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on saw equipment
Schelling Saw Operator Qualifications:
- 1–3+ years experience operating industrial saws (Schelling, beam saw, plate saw preferred)
- Experience in metal service center, machining, or manufacturing environment
- Ability to read blueprints and understand measurements/tolerances
- Familiarity with aluminum plate, sheet, and bar cutting
- Basic computer skills (for CNC interface or job tracking systems)
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
