Payroll Specialist Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
23.68 to $ 35.52 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday )
- Perform daily payroll department operations.
- Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
- Execute ESW time and attendance processing and interface with payroll.
- Accurately process payroll, making sure deadlines are met to ensure timely payment.
- Determine payroll liabilities and ensure timely payments of all federal, state, and local taxes, workers compensation, FSA, HSA, and retirement plan contributions.
- Ensure payroll processing is in compliance with federal and state laws as well as company policies related to wages, hours, overtime, and employment issues.
- Process correct garnishment calculations and maintain compliance.
- Process accurate and timely year-end reporting (W-2, W-2c, 1095 IRS Form 940). • Process accurate and timely quarterly reporting (IRS Form 941, State Forms OQ, Schedule B, and Form 132).
- Process termination payrolls.
- Maintain employee payroll records and timesheet data for future reference.
- Assist in payroll-related company audit activities.
Payroll Specialist Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED; Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience processing payroll.
- Working knowledge of payroll best practices and strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Excel.
- Working knowledge of ESW and Abila preferred.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
