Network and Security Analyst II


The Network and Security Analyst II is a mid-level technical role responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and improving the security posture of enterprise networks and systems.

Network and Security Analyst II Details:

  • Contract to Hire position
  • $40.38 /hour
  • First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 04:30pm)
  • Monitor network traffic, security alerts, and system logs to detect anomalous activity and potential intrusions or internal deceit.
  • Triage, investigate, and respond to security incidents, document findings and remediation steps.
  • Implement, configure, and maintain security technologies including firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) solutions.
  • Operate and administer Meraki networking infrastructure and related cloud-managed network services.
  • Manage and tune endpoint protection and EDR solutions such as SentinelOne and email/web security appliances such as Barracuda.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, coordinate patching and remediation, and validate fixes using tools like Action 1 and Microsoft Intune.
  • Apply security policies and baseline configurations to systems and network devices in accordance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

Network and Security Analyst II Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • A degree plus 5 years of work experience preferred, or nine years of experience without a degree.
  • CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA Security, or equivalent
  • Certifications demonstrating hands-on security operations expertise (e.g., GIAC GSEC, GCIA) and vendor-specific firewall, Meraki, SentinelOne, Microsoft, or SIEM certifications
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in network administration, security operations, or related roles
  • Experience with security monitoring tools (SIEM), intrusion detection/prevention, and log analysis
  • Proven incident response and forensic investigation experience
  • Experience implementing and managing firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions
  • Hands-on experience with Meraki networking platforms, SentinelOne EDR, Action 1 Patch Management, and Barracuda security appliances or equivalent.
