Dispatcher Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
23.00 / hour Full Time work available- Weekend work required
First Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 08:00am to04:30pm )
- Coordinate and schedule daily transportation routes for drivers and carriers
- Dispatch drivers and provide clear instructions regarding pick-ups, deliveries, and routes
- Monitor shipment status and ensure on-time delivery performance
- Communicate with drivers to track progress and address delays or issues in real time
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, driver logs, and transportation activities
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure loads are prepared and ready for dispatch
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding shipment status and delivery updates
- Troubleshoot transportation issues such as delays, route changes, or equipment problems
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), GPS tracking, and dispatch software
Dispatcher Qualifications:
- Previous dispatching, logistics, or transportation experience required
- Proficiency with computers, dispatch systems, and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment
