We are looking for a motivated Machinist Trainee to learn the fundamentals of machining.

Machinist Trainee Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
17.00 to $ 18.00 / hour Full Time work availableSecond Shift ( Monday throughThursday from 04:00pm to02:30am )
- Set up and operate Acme machines involving intricate tooling and a wide range of operations.
- Assist in devising methods of machining new and difficult jobs.
- Regrind special recess tools and other high speed and carbide special tooling.
- Diagnose and correct problems quickly and efficiently.
- Make programming and job improvements.
- Maintain acceptable production rates as documented in the process instructions.
- Perform other duties as requested
Machinist Trainee Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior manufacturing experience is helpful
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
