Electrical Controls Engineer IV Details:
Direct Hire position- $
100,000.00 to $ 110,000.00 / annually First Shift ( Monday throughFriday )
- Develops codes for programmable logic devices, HMI Systems and company SCADA systems.
- Designs networked systems using standard protocols including Modbus RTU, TCP/IP.
- Designs and drafts wiring schematics for electrical panels, based on customer provided specifications.
- Writes and reviews installation procedures for electrical equipment configurations.
- Safely tests equipment with voltages as high as 480VAC 3 phase.
- Receives and interprets customer specifications, determines customer needs, and develops product and price quotes
- Coordinates with the Purchasing Department to ensure prompt ordering of custom and non-stocked components necessary in building custom electrical control panels.
- Travels to job sites, as necessary.
- Conducts seminars with distributors, contractors, regulators, and electricians.
- Stays abreast of NEC code and UL requirements that apply to companies control panels and pump installations.
- High level of involvement in research, prototype development, testing and product documentation.
Electrical Controls Engineer IV Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Controls, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering is required, or related degree.
- At least five years of electrical controls engineering experience.
- Current driver's license and good driving record is required.
- High level of expertise with digital logic programming.
- High level of expertise with motors and industrial controls.
- High level of expertise with PLC's and ladder logic programming.
- High level of expertise with HMI programming.
- Proficient with wastewater treatment processes.
- Proficient with spreadsheet and word processing software.
- Proficient with CAD.
