Quality Engineer - 6mo Contract Details:

  • Contract position
  • $36.00 to $45.00 /annually
  • First Shift
  • Support the risk and failure analysis (PFMEA) reviews and update/maintain the Control Plan for the assigned workflows. 
  • Primary contact source with customer/supplier representatives, maintain positive communication and relationship, support and attend meetings, reviews, and audits. 
  • Performs root cause analysis of technical problems. 
  • Ensures that the quality system is maintained in accordance with the Business Operating System (BOS) standards. 
  • Facilitate problem solving teams and respond to customer discrepancy notices.
  • Verify corrective actions and prepare problem solving customer correspondence related to quality concerns or issues. 
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits, and report to management on quality issues, trends, and losses. Participate in workgroups (e.g., FMEA, PSMC, etc.)
  • Establish process controls, assist in training of new projects and buy-off on new/modified equipment and processes. 
  • Support quality/dimensional control systems (i.e., X&R charts, gage studies, Six Sigma, dimensional capability studies)
  • Strong working knowledge of APQP tools (e.g., Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, MSA, SPC, etc.) 

Quality Engineer - 6mo Contract Qualifications:

  • • Bachelor's Level Degree; Area of Study: Quality, Industrial of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience in Quality or Engineering related function.
  • Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.
  • 1 -3 Minimum Years of Experience working in the field of Quality, Engineering CI or similar (recent college graduate is considered acceptable). 
  • Less Than 1 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry 
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work in a team environment, establishing partnerships both internally and externally. 
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Possess knowledge on the fundamentals of PPAP and APQP processes. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
