Ditch Burner Details:
Temporary position- $
16.50 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 07:00am to04:00pm )
- Clear weeds, dry grass, and debris from irrigation ditches to ensure efficient water delivery and prevent flooding.
- Using torches to ignite, controlling fire spread, monitoring the burn, and creating/maintaining firebreaks using tools like rakes or blowers.
- Transporting equipment.
Ditch Burner Qualifications:
- Ability to perform strenuous outdoor labor for 8–10 hours daily, often over rough terrain while carrying up to 45–50 lbs. of gear.
- High level of physical stamina to walk long distances, stand, bend, and lift.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must wear fire-resistant clothing, leather gloves, and heavy-soled leather boots.
- Able to work outdoors in varied, sometimes adverse weather conditions, withstanding heat and smoke.
- Applicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Report
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
