Senior Staff Accountant Details:

  • Temporary position
  • $25.27 to $33.47 /hour
  • Full Time work available
  • First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)
  • Assist in developing and maintaining finance department policies and procedures to ensure consistency, compliance, and scalable accounting operations.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including preparation and review of bank and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain lease and debt schedules, amortization tracking, and related workpapers in accordance with GAAP and applicable accounting standards.
  • Provide oversight and support across accounting functions, including AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, records management, and period-end processes.
  • Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, compliance (GAAP, GAAS, 2 CFR 200), and staff training to strengthen internal controls and financial operations.

Senior Staff Accountant Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years of accounting experience in a similar role, with a preference for expertise in fund and grant accounting.
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience and education may be considered. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple complex financial tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Valid Oregon driver’s license with an acceptable driving record per ACCESS’ insurance policies.
  • Temporary with the potential to become long term
