Senior Staff Accountant Details:
Temporary position- $
25.27 to $ 33.47 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 08:00am to05:00pm )
- Assist in developing and maintaining finance department policies and procedures to ensure consistency, compliance, and scalable accounting operations.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including preparation and review of bank and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain lease and debt schedules, amortization tracking, and related workpapers in accordance with GAAP and applicable accounting standards.
- Provide oversight and support across accounting functions, including AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, records management, and period-end processes.
- Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, compliance (GAAP, GAAS, 2 CFR 200), and staff training to strengthen internal controls and financial operations.
Senior Staff Accountant Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of accounting experience in a similar role, with a preference for expertise in fund and grant accounting.
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience and education may be considered.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple complex financial tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Valid Oregon driver’s license with an acceptable driving record per ACCESS’ insurance policies.
- Temporary with the potential to become long term
