Elwood Staffing is seeking a dependable and hardworking Inspector’s Helper to support inspection operations at an industrial facility in Nikiski, Alaska. This position assists certified inspectors with the examination, testing, and documentation of oilfield tubular goods and related equipment. Ideal candidates are safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in an industrial outdoor environment.

Inspector Helper Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
22.00 / hour Full Time work available- Weekend work required
First Shift
- Use of grinders
- Buffers
- Welding
- Pressure washing
- Dimensional measurements of tools
- Black lighting of tools
- Assist inspectors with visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) processes
- Help prepare, clean, and stage tubular products for inspection
- Operate basic hand tools and assist with equipment setup
- Record inspection results and maintain accurate documentation
Inspector Helper Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude and basic tool knowledge
- Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying Alaska weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Reliable transportation to Nikiski
- Previous industrial or oilfield experience is a plus but not required
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Applicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Report
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
