Quality Assurance Lab Tech Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
17.00 to $ 24.00 / hour Full Time work available- Weekend work required
First Shift ( Monday throughSaturday from 06:00am to06:00pm )
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
- Collect product samples from steel coil, pipe, and tubing products.
- Prepare samples accurately to the proper size and condition for various tests.
- Conduct and evaluate a range of mechanical and chemical tests, including:
- Mechanical Testing
- Chemical Testing
- Charpy Impact Testing
- Hardness Testing (Rockwell B & Micro)
- Metallographic Testing (grain structure, annealing, weld micros)
- Perform defect evaluations.
- Operate non-destructive testing (NDT) equipment, including ultrasonic testing and visual inspection tools.*
- Accurately enter and organize all test results using company-specific systems.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- This role operates within a non-climate-controlled industrial shop environment.
Quality Assurance Lab Tech Qualifications:
- Experience as a Quality Inspector or in a similar quality control role in industrial setting is required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise measurements and evaluations.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer systems.
- Previous experience or coursework in Quality Assurance principles preferred
- Familiarity with steel manufacturing processes and terminology preferred
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
