Press Operator Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
20.00 / hour Full Time work available- Weekend work required
First Shift ( 07:00am to07:00pm )
- Set billet length, furnace temperature, ram speed, and puller programs for optimal production and quality.
- Monitor metal for quality issues (pick up, tear out, die lines), adjust setups, and report problems to Foremen/Lead Person.
- Assist with setups, teardowns, changeovers, die changes, and roll logs as needed; minimize downtime by preparing dies and bolsters in advance.
- Check dies, bolsters, and special equipment setups (water boxes, pans, cooling fans) before starting jobs.
- Perform daily equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, and complete PM checklists; ensure power is off before maintenance.
- Complete required paperwork, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and follow all safety rules.
Press Operator Qualifications:
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, and ability to work with U.S. weight, volume, and distance measurements.
- Ability to follow detailed written or verbal instructions and apply common sense to solve routine problems.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Experience operating a tow motor or similar equipment is preferred.
