A manufacturing company in Jackson has an opening for a part-time, 1st shift Custodian/Shipping & Receiving position. Pay ranges from $16–$17 per hour based on experience

Custodian/Shipping and Receiving Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
16.00 to $ 17.00 / hour Part Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 08:30am to12:30pm )
Custodian Duties:
- Sweep/mop shop floor..
- Clean bathrooms.
- Maintain Quality office (sweep/mop floors, chair mats).
- Maintain portable shop office.
- Clean inside/outside exterior windows; pick up litter.
- Wipe down machines, carts, benches.
- Assist with other tasks as assigned (incl. floor scrubber) Wipe down all water coolers Assist with basic maintenance (e.g., water softener salt).
Shipping & Receiving Duties:
- Package parts for shipment using proper materials.
- Submit job travelers/prints for packing slips.
- Submit job info for purchase orders (outside services).
- Load/unload deliveries using forklift.
- Notify purchasing when packaging supplies are needed.
- Clear snow/ice from truck ramp and door areas (winter).
Custodian/Shipping and Receiving Qualifications:
- Strong work history.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Janitorial experience.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Forklift experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift 40 lb bags of softener salt.
- Package liftable parts into cardboard boxes.
- Strap down parts on wood skids (skids are moved only with a forklift)
- Use a push broom as needed.
- Mop large areas of the shop floor during the work shift.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
