Maintenance Technician - A or B Shift Details:
Contract to Hire position- $
28.00 to $ 34.00 / annually Various shifts available
- Ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all production equipment to meet or exceed OEE and customer quality expectations, following all Lockout/Tagout and safety policies.
- Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on production equipment, proactively identifying and correcting safety risks and inefficiencies.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on production and support equipment, including blow molding, injection molding, extrusion, conveyors, compressors, chillers, PLCs, and robots.
- Execute equipment changeovers with minimal downtime and verify machines are operating safely and efficiently post-changeover.
- Complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and evaluate operator checklists and comments to resolve root causes of downtime or inefficiency.
- Support equipment installation, machine setup, wiring, and programming to meet operational and process specifications.
- Identify improvement opportunities through TPM practices, tagging components requiring repair, replacement, or optimization.
- Document maintenance activities, process changes, and work orders accurately in SAP
- Monitor spare parts inventory levels
- Communicate equipment issues, repair progress, and improvement ideas clearly with maintenance, production, vendors, and contractors.
Maintenance Technician - A or B Shift Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Technical or Trade School certification preferred.
- 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastics processing or similar industrial operations.
- Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude with demonstrated experience using hand and power tools.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, including machine processing and recipe management.
- Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office and SAP or similar CMMS/inventory systems.
