Accounting Assistant
Elwood Staffing is currently seeking an accounting assistant for a local woodworking facility.

Accounting Assistant Details:
Temporary position- $
20.00 to $ 26.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 07:00am to04:00pm )
- Record daily financial transactions, including sales, invoices, and vendor payments
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and vendor accounts
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare and issue customer invoices and follow up on outstanding payments
- Track job costs, material purchases, and shop expenses
- Maintain organized records for receipts, bills, and financial documents
- Generate simple financial reports as requested (e.g., weekly expense summaries, cash flow snapshots)
- Collaborate with the CFO & shop manager to ensure accurate financial tracking
- Support year-end or quarterly tax preparation by organizing required documents
Accounting Assistant Qualifications:
- Previous bookkeeping experience required
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage sensitive information confidentially
- Strong organizational and time?management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with job-costing or project-based businesses a plus
- Experience in trades, manufacturing, or a workshop environment helpful but not required
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
