Tig Welder/Fabricator Details:
Contract to Hire position- $
30.00 to $ 34.00 / annually First Shift
- Perform TIG welding on stainless steel and/or aluminum components, producing high-quality, precision welds to meet detailed prints, tolerances, and quality standards.
- Set up TIG welding equipment, select proper fillers and settings, and inspect finished welds for accuracy, appearance, and structural integrity.
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair stainless steel and other metal equipment used in cheese production and packaging.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to ensure accurate fabrication and installation.
- Perform welding (MIG/TIG/Stick), cutting, grinding, and finishing of components.
- Modify and repair machinery, conveyors, tanks, and other plant equipment to meet production needs.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to identify fabrication needs and provide timely solutions.
- Ensure all work complies with GMP, food safety, and OSHA safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper handling of tools and materials.
Tig Welder/Fabricator Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in fabrication, welding, or industrial maintenance (food manufacturing experience preferred).
- Must Have 2+ years of TIG welding
- Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Skilled in MIG/TIG welding, cutting, and metal finishing.
- Knowledge of stainless steel fabrication, sanitary welding, and food-grade equipment standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in welding/fabrication preferred.
