Plant Operator Details:
Direct Hire position- $
30.92 / hour Various shifts available
- Responsible for supporting plant operations related to rail and freight loading/unloading, as well as operating basic process equipment.
- Work is performed in both outdoor and indoor environments with adequate ventilation.
- May involve exposure to fumes or airborne particles such as dust, smoke, or other air contaminants.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided and required for all employees.
- Moderate noise levels are typical, especially when working near operating equipment.
- Monitor the movement of products to and from storage tanks, coordinating with team members to ensure a steady and safe product flow.
- Record key operating data, such as quantities pumped, gauge readings, and operating times, either manually or using computer systems.
- Inspect vessels for cleanliness and verify they meet loading procedures and weight requirements.
- Perform railcar groundwork, including connecting/disconnecting couplers and air lines, and assisting with railcar spotting.
- Set manual brakes on railcars as needed.
- Support general site upkeep, including groundskeeping tasks like weed removal.
- Take on additional duties as assigned to support plant operations
Plant Operator Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license & must be able to drive at night as needed.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Able to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages as needed for operational tasks.
- Basic computer skills required (e.g., data entry, email, basic system navigation).
- Ability to climb stairs, ramps, and similar structures
- Must be able to lift, carry, pull, or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally.
