Material Handler Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
13.00 / hour Full Time work available- Weekend work required
First Shift ( Monday throughSaturday from 07:00am to05:00pm )
- Ensures constant supply of materials, parts, and/or components to work areas
- Ensures timely movement of materials and/or parts between departments Safely and efficiently operates forklifts and other material movement equipment
- Loads and unloads inbound and outbound trucks using material movement equipment and by hand Identifies, labels, and places materials and supplies in stock; records location of inventory
- Assembles part containers and part racks Prepares finished product for shipment by loading and securing product
- Reads work orders and/or follows oral instructions to determine materials or containers to be moved
Material Handler Qualifications:
- Ability to write legibly and complete reports
- Ability to comprehend written kanbans, production orders, and/or verbal instruction
- Constantly stands, walks, reaches, bends, and moves; constantly uses arms, hands, and fingers while removing parts and components from holding areas and containers, transporting parts and components to work areas, and placing parts and components in holding containers
- Regularly lifts, pushes, pulls, grips, and moves up to 20 pounds; frequently lifts, pushes, pulls, grips, and moves up to 35 pounds; and occasionally lifts, pushes, pulls, grips, and moves up to 50 pounds with assistance
- Frequently bends/stoops to remove and place parts and components on pallets
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
