This position will be responsible for the design of electrical and electro-mechanical assemblies for high speed automation, including robotics

Electrical Designer Details:
Direct Hire position- $
55,000.00 to $ 75,000.00 / annually First Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 06:00am to03:00pm )
- Design and detail of equipment electrical parts and systems
- Design of panel layouts and interconnection diagrams
- Support research and development of new equipment through imagination and original ideas
- Create economical assemblies with safety and durability as the key ingredients
- Interpret and integrate electrical drawings/models from clients and vendors
- Detailing (drafting) of equipment electrical parts and systems
- Detailing (drafting) of panel layouts and interconnection diagrams
- Purchase components associated with projects
- Support electrical department change requests
- Interact with vendors to determine application of technology updates
- Troubleshoot equipment issues during shop assembly
Electrical Designer Qualifications:
- 2-year associates degree (A.S.) in Electrical Engineering or 5 years progressive experience
- Proficiency with a 2D drafting package: AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Autodesk Vault a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
- Knowledge of basic electrical system design and components such as contractors, fuses, relays, terminal blocks and transformers
- Capable of independently solving problems and bringing the problems to resolution
- Knowledge of various types of electrical components and assemblies such as VFD’s, PLC’s and Sensors
- Well organized and detail oriented
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must effectively communicate with employees, vendors and clients
- Knowledge of basic electrical engineering principles a plus
- Limited travel required for site evaluations
- Position may require applicant to come in contact with raw and processed food/beverages including red meat/pork, gluten, nuts and seeds, eggs, flour, milk, yeast and alcohol
- UL 508A MTR certification or willing to obtain
