Sr. HSE Coordinator Details:
Contract position- $
43.00 to $ 47.00 / annually First Shift
- Conduct safety audits, hazard assessments, and risk analyses throughout the facility.
- Coordinate training programs (PPE, ergonomics, emergency response, chemical safety, bloodborne pathogens, lockout/tagout, etc.).
- Investigate accidents, injuries, and near misses; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Track safety metrics and prepare reports for leadership review. Environmental Compliance
- Monitor compliance with environmental regulations related to chemical handling, waste disposal, air emissions, and water discharge.
- Maintain hazardous waste management programs and coordinate proper disposal practices.
- Maintain Safety Data Sheet (SDS) database and chemical inventory.
- Support sustainability initiatives, including recycling, energy conservation, and environmental impact reduction. Emergency Preparedness & Response
- Assist in developing and maintaining emergency action and evacuation plans.
- Coordinate fire drills, spill response exercises, and other preparedness activities.
- Act as a first responder for environmental and safety incidents. Program Development & Continuous Improvement
- Assist in developing and revising EHS policies, procedures, and SOPs.
- Partner with Operations, Quality, and HR to integrate EHS practices into daily activities.
- Recommend equipment, process, or workplace improvements to reduce risks
Sr. HSE Coordinator Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or medical device/dental production environment.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, FDA, ISO 13485, and GMP standards. Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety practices and environmental compliance.
- Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and track EHS performance. • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Certifications such as OSHA 30, HAZWOPER, or ASP/CSP preferred.
