Brake Press Operator Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
20.00 to $ 22.00 / hour Full Time work availableSecond Shift
- Operate Brake Press and other production machinery.
- Set up tooling, load programs, and adjust machine parameters
- Select proper die clearances based on material and job requirements
- Interpret and work from blueprints Inspect first pieces and perform ongoing quality checks
- Adjust machine settings to correct malfunctions or tolerance deviations
- Identify root causes of rejected parts and troubleshoot effectively
- Maintain clean, organized work area
- Follow all company rules, policies, and safety procedures
- Collaborate with teammates to meet production goals and minimize setup time
- Work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Assist in other areas of the shop as needed
Brake Press Operator Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of Brake Press operation experience
- Brake Press setup experience required
- Ability to read micrometers, calipers, tape measures, and blueprints
- Strong math skills, including fraction/decimal conversions
- Ability to identify materials (aluminum, steel, stainless steel)
- Experience with Amada Press Brake machines preferred (not required)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
