Laser Operator Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
20.00 to $ 22.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift
- Set up and operate:
- Mitsubishi 4500 KHZ laser
- Mitsubishi Fiber Optic laser
- Bystronic laser
- Adjust machine settings for various operations and materials.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints; perform layout checks (e.g., hole size, inspection).
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
- Understand job cards and use measuring tools (micrometers, scales, dial calipers)
- Demonstrate basic CNC programming knowledge.
- Adjust power settings for cold roll steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and more
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly safety and maintenance tasks.
- Maintain laser stock and related supplies
- Assist with down-stacking and metal finishing
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor
Laser Operator Qualifications:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic blueprint reading skills
- Strong manual dexterity and communication skills
- Minimum 2 years operating laser machines
- Mitsubishi and Bystronic laser experience preferred.
- Multi-axis laser experience is a plus
- Experience with CO2 and Fiber Optic lasers preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent (degree preferred).
- NIMS certification is a plus
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
