CNC Machinist Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
25.00 to $ 37.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 07:00am to04:30am )
- Perform all initial setups and operate CNC and manual machines.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of CNC machining processes and provide input to improve first-run production efficiency.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical documents, specifications, tolerances (GD&T), and inspection reports.
- Maintain specifications using all common gauges and measurement tools; complete in-process inspections with confidence.
- Set up cutting tools, establish correct tool offsets, and load work-holding fixtures securely.
- Machine jaws, prepare machine tables, and load programs into machines.
- Perform initial first-piece inspections prior to QC verification.
- Troubleshoot issues and perform corrective actions to prevent tooling or machine failures.
- Perform machine startup/shutdown procedures, warm-up cycles, homing sequences, and daily equipment maintenance.
- Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and shift needs to maintain continuity.
CNC Machinist Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of verifiable CNC machining experience with Fanuc controls. Knowledge of Mazatrol is a plus.
- Ability to read/understand CNC G-code and make edits during setups is required.
- Strong understanding of tool offsets, registers, wear screens, and machine settings.
- Excellent shop math skills.
- Willing to work 1st or 2nd shift and overtime as needed.
- Able to lift 50 lbs consistently.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-year technical degree preferred
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
