Metals Production Operator – Day Shift Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
20.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Sunday throughThursday from 06:00am to04:30pm )
- Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes
- Run furnaces, induction heaters, and related melting equipment
- Add and handle raw materials for processing
- Perform routine sampling and basic lab testing
- Maintain production logs, checklists, and computer entries
- Follow all SOPs, safety guidelines, and environmental regulations
- Assist with cleaning, inspection, and minor maintenance of equipment
- Report equipment issues or safety concerns immediately
- Keep work areas clean and compliant with 6S standards
- Participate in safety training and continuous improvement efforts
Metals Production Operator – Day Shift Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills
- Able to read technical documents, schematics, and safety instructions
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Comfortable working in high-heat, industrial environments
- Good communication and time-management skills
- Willingness to learn quality-assurance analytical skills
- Understanding of 6S methodology is a plus
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
