CAD/CAM Programmer
We are seeking a self-motivated CNC / Machine Programmer to join the steel shop at a fiberglass facility in the steel department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and optimizing CNC machines to support the production of steel components.

CAD/CAM Programmer Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
18.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday )
- Develop, create, and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software for machining steel parts.
- Translate engineering drawings, specifications, and blueprints into machine code.
- Determine appropriate tooling, speeds, feed rates, and sequence of operations for machining.
- Perform setup of machines: tooling, fixtures, work-holding, run trial cuts.
- Run test parts, make program edits, and validate quality and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot programs and machine run issues, adjusting code or setup as needed.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and ensure machinery is in good working order.
- Maintain records of programming, tooling requirements, machine settings, and revisions.
- Work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
CAD/CAM Programmer Qualifications:
- Proven experience in CNC programming
- Familiarity with CAM software
- Experience or understanding of machining steel — setting up machines, selecting tools, applying feeds/speeds.
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings and blueprints
- Strong problem-solving skills -able to debug programs and machine issues.
- Ability to work independently with high levels of accountability
- Good verbal and written communication in English (required).
