Industrial Purchasing Clerk Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
18.00 to $ 24.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday )
The Industrial Purchasing Specialist is responsible for sourcing, quoting, and procuring materials and components required for production and maintenance operations. This role ensures that all purchases meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements while maintaining accurate purchasing and inventory records within the Profit 21 system.
- Obtain competitive quotes and negotiate pricing with industrial vendors.
- Purchase a variety of parts and materials, including hardware, nuts, bolts, gasket materials, o-rings, bearings, and raw stock for machining.
- Issue purchase orders and track order status to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and data entry within Profit 21.
- Collaborate with inventory and production teams to monitor stock levels and replenish materials as needed.
- Assist in vendor management and performance evaluation.
Industrial Purchasing Clerk Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Profit 21 ERP system preferred
- Experience with other ERP systems, including: MS Dynmaics 365 Supply Chain Mgmt/ Dynamics 365, NetSuite, Infor CloudSuite Distribution, Sage 300 or similar, may be acceptable.
- Experience in industrial purchasing within a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
- Strong knowledge of industrial parts, materials, and supply chain processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
