Material Handler

Material Handler Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $20.00 to $22.00 /hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 03:30pm)

Load and unload trucks safely with a pallet jack or forklift.

Must be capable of safely loading/unloading non-palletized casework materials such as cabinets, large walls, and wooden panels.

Make sure the items being shipped are safe and secure to ensure safe transport. Individuals are expected to use banding and/or plastic wrap with protective corners to ensure the safety of finished goods

Verify counts on both inbound and outbound shipments to ensure accuracy

Support ERP system cycle count process

On occasion, interface with trucking companies for rate quotes and scheduling. Maintaining accuracy of pick-up and drop-off locations, along with shipment information (I.E., weights and dimensions) is extremely important.

Assist or coordinate the unloading of inbound international containers. Individual is responsible for noting any missing or damaged goods

Individual may also be asked to lead 3-4 additional helpers and provide direction

Assist Warehouse Lead with material needs, such as preparing hardware or sheet stock for job production. Place materials, supplies, and other received goods on shelves, racks, or the floor using inventory locations.
