Claims Customer Service Rep Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
18.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 06:30am to03:00pm )
You’ll be the friendly voice that providers hear when they call with questions about claims. You’ll help research claim statuses, route calls to the right team members, and follow up to make sure issues get resolved. A typical day includes:
- Answering inbound calls using a headset
- Assisting providers with claim status questions and general inquiries
- Routing calls to the right department or person when needed
- Logging and tracking questions that need follow-up
- Working closely with our claims staff and health plans to find solutions
- Calling providers back with updates once issues are resolved
Claims Customer Service Rep Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- At least 1 year of office experience in health insurance or medical is a plus
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and coding (CPT, ICD-9/10, DRG, HCPC, Revenue Codes) helpful but not required
- Great communication and listening skills
- A friendly attitude and strong attention to detail
- Comfortable using a computer and phone headset
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
