Elevator Mechanic


The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and inspecting elevators, escalators, lifts, and other vertical transportation systems

Elevator Mechanic Details:

  • Contract position
  • $48.75 /hour
  • First Shift (Sunday through Sunday from 12:00am to 12:00pm)
  • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair elevators, escalators, and related lift systems in compliance with applicable codes and safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems to identify issues and perform necessary repairs.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance and testing to ensure all systems operate efficiently and safely.
  • Respond promptly to service calls and emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with local, state, and federal elevator codes and company policies.
  • Collaborate with contractors, building owners, and inspectors during installations and inspections.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and efficiently.

Elevator Mechanic Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid Elevator Mechanic License.
  • Minimum 5 years of elevator maintenance and repair experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all OSHA and local safety regulations.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to multiple job sites if required.
