Manual Machinist Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
22.00 to $ 30.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 07:00am to05:00am )
- Read and understand blueprints.
- Use gauges and measuring tools to check accuracy.
- Operate machines like lathes, mills, saws, and presses.
- Make and shape parts from metal, plastic, or composites.
- Set up and remove tools, materials, and fixtures safely.
- Use proper tools and inserts for each job. Clean and maintain machines regularly.
- Suggest improvements to processes when needed.
- Track parts and jobs in the system.
Manual Machinist Qualifications:
- Must be a highly skilled candidates with 5+ years of experience on mills or lathes or both.
- Proficient in operating manual machine tools (e.g., lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
- Experience with measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges).
- Knowledge of materials (metals, alloys, plastics) and their machining properties.
- Familiarity with machining speeds, feeds, and cutting tools.
- Basic understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- High school diploma or GED preferred and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
