Mounting Department Details:
Temporary position- $
20.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 08:00am to04:30pm )
- Read and follow job tickets to confirm plate and sleeve specifications.
- Inspect plates, sleeves, and materials to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Apply sticky back or adhesive and accurately mount plates with proper alignment.
- Verify mounted plates for correct registration and quality. They use a 2 camera mounting system.
- Keep work areas clean and organized while maintaining safety standards.
- Track materials used and communicate when supplies are low.
Mounting Department Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a print / packaging prepress environment is strongly preferred, especially in plate mounting or similar tasks.
- Ability to read, measure, and interpret precise specifications and job tickets.
- Good visual acuity: ability to see fine detail, differentiate color and registration marks.
- Manual dexterity, steady hand, good hand-eye coordination.
- Familiarity with mounting materials (sticky backing, cushion tape, sleeves, etc.) and adhesive techniques.
- Basic mechanical aptitude; willing to learn to operate and maintain mounting equipment (flatmount systems, etc.).
- Ability to use computers / production software for job tracking, documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail, quality orientation.
