Safety and Environment Coordinator Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
26.00 to $ 29.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 07:00am to03:30pm )
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety/environmental regulations, including OR-OSHA. Conduct audits, maintain OSHA logs, and stay updated on regulatory changes.
Investigations & Prevention
- Lead safety meetings, inspections, and ergonomic evaluations; identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. Investigate accidents, manage reporting, and support worker’s compensation programs. Monitor environmental factors for compliance.
Training
- Assess training needs and deliver safety programs. Develop and maintain training materials (HAZCOM, confined space, bloodborne pathogens) and lead drills and emergency exercises.
Program & Environmental Administration
- Review and update safety programs, analyze data, facilitate Safety Committee initiatives, and coordinate waste, permits, SDS, and work order tracking.
Safety and Environment Coordinator Qualifications:
- BA/BS in safety, health, or environmental field, safety certification, or 3+ years’ related experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; strong knowledge of DEQ, OSHA, SAIF, and regulatory procedures
- Skilled in hazard identification, problem-solving, and decision-making under pressure
- Strong organizational, communication, customer service, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to work independently Valid driver’s license
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment
