Tooling Tech Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
15.50 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 06:00am to05:00pm )
- Inspect, clean, repair, and maintain forging dies, punches, hammers, and other precision tools.
- Tool Setup & Installation:
- Install and align dies, molds, and fixtures into forging machines or presses.
- Assist in making or modifying tools to meet production requirements (sometimes involving machining, grinding, or welding).
- Diagnose tool wear, breakage, or misalignment that may cause defects in forged parts.
- Documentation: Keep records of tool life, maintenance schedules, and part specifications.
- Collaboration: Work with engineers and production teams to ensure tools are performing properly and parts meet quality standards.
Tooling Tech Qualifications:
- Experience with Tolling, machining, CNC, grinding, or welding.
- Understanding of blueprints, technical drawings, and tolerances. tape measure=
- Knowledge of metals and heat treatment used in forging.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve on the production floor.
- Safety awareness (forging environments involve heavy machinery, heat, and high pressure).
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
