Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as internal company policies

Contract HSE Specialist Details:

  • Contract position
  • $20.00 to $35.00 /hour
  • First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, federal, and company health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Review and monitor site risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with site contractors to ensure compliance with company safety and environmental requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and walkthroughs to verify adherence to SHE standards.
  • Develop, deliver, and track training programs to build employee awareness of SHE policies and safe work practices.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare detailed reports and recommend preventive measures.
  • Support the implementation of SHE initiatives, including continuous improvement programs and process enhancements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of SHE activities, training, inspections, and compliance reports.
  • Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies and assist during inspections or audits.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and technical expertise to site personnel on SHE matters.

Contract HSE Specialist Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in safety, health, and environmental compliance within manufacturing, construction, or industrial settings.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulatory standards.
  • Strong communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments, analyze data, and implement corrective actions.
  • Proficiency in documentation, reporting, and incident investigation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and contractors.
