Custodian Details:
Temporary position- $
19.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughThursday from 07:00am to05:00pm )
- Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, restrooms, cafeterias, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors; dust and clean surfaces.
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste according to school guidelines.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report when replenishment is needed.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing air filters, and reporting facility issues.
- Set up and break down furniture and equipment for school events and activities.
- Ensure all areas are secure by locking doors, setting alarms, and following safety protocols.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, spills, or maintenance issues to maintain safety.
- Follow school policies and procedures for chemical use and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with school staff to support a positive and welcoming campus environment.
Custodian Qualifications:
- Previous custodial, janitorial, or cleaning experience preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Must be able to obtain a Fingerprint Clarence Card prior to start date.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
