Shop Supervisor Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
26.00 to $ 28.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 05:00am to01:30pm )
- This role will represent the company in a positive and professional manner while ensuring safe, timely production, and shipping services that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Operating a shearing machine to cut and bend reinforcing steel bars.
- Lead safety by example. Ensure safe work habits and in all situations. Create a safe work environment by identifying and eliminating hazards and unsafe acts. Pursue employee accountability and involvement.
- Work with Ops Manager and Shop manager to help coordinate all production/shipping activities. Plan, forecast and manage safe and efficient parts flow and quality processing through the production/shipping process to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Work with Shop manager to prioritize the shop schedule to ensure we meet necessary delivery dates.
Shop Supervisor Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience operating mechanical or automatic shearing machines, preferably rebar fabrication environment.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, work orders, and tape measures or calipers.
- Familiarity with different rebar sizes and industry standards.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
