Machine Operator Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
22.00 to $ 26.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 05:00am to01:30pm )
- Set up, operate, and monitor rebar shearing equipment according to work orders and shop instructions.
- Verify bar sizes, lengths, and batch requirements before cutting.
- Select appropriate settings for bar size, cut length, and quantity.
- • Load straight rebar stock safely onto the shear machine using hand tools, cranes, or hoists as required.
- Remove cut bars and organize them for further fabrication (bending, bundling, etc.).
Machine Operator Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience operating mechanical or automatic shearing machines, preferably in rebar fabrication environment.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, work orders, and tape measures or calipers.
- Familiarity with different rebar sizes and industry standards.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Commitment to safety protocols and teamwork.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to be cross-trained on other fabrication equipment (shear, bender, etc.).
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
