Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.

What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?

Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Helping you stay secure - how to recognize a scam

Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

Lumber Production Loader/Operator

Urgently Hiring for Hard-Working & Dependable candidates to join our Lumber Production team! In this role, you’ll assist with loading, stacking, and running equipment to keep production moving in a fast-paced environment. Lumber Production Loader/Operator Details:

Temp-to-Hire position
$16.00 /hour
Full Time work available
First Shift (Monday through Friday from 05:00am to 02:30pm)

Load/unload, stack, and handle wood planks/lumber materials around the yard or production floor.
Run basic machines and equipment (conveyors/production equipment/material handling equipment).
Check lumber for quality and sort out damaged or wrong-sized pieces.
Help keep the production line running smoothly.
Keep your work area clean and follow safety rules.
Work with your crew and supervisors to meet daily goals.

Lumber Production Loader/Operator Qualifications:

Previous experience in manufacturing/production or material/lumber yard environment preferred but not required.

Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy lumber and materials (often up to 50 lbs). Able to stand/walk throughout entire shift.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Strong work ethic and team-player mentality

Pre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment
