Saw Operator Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
14.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 06:00am to03:30pm )
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, or cut lists.
- Set up and adjust saw equipment, including blade changes, feed rates, and cutting speeds based on material type and thickness.
- Measure and verify cuts using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, or micrometers to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Load and unload materials onto the saw.
- Perform routine maintenance on saws (cleaning, lubrication, blade inspection).
Saw Operator Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent work experience).
- Prior experience operating industrial saws (band saws, cold saws, or similar equipment) in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Basic math and measurement skills – ability to read a tape measure, calipers, and micrometers accurately.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, cut sheets, or technical drawings.
- Mechanical aptitude – understanding how machines operate and how to adjust settings as needed.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials (often 50+ lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
