CAM Business Development Manager


As a Direct Sales Representative (BDM), you will be responsible for managing and growing a set of 40-50 Named Accounts within a defined geographic region. Your primary goal is to drive new software sales while maintaining account relationships and overseeing renewals within your territory. This role requires a highly consultative sales approach to engage with manufacturing companies, understand their needs, and position the company's product as the optimal solution. Candidate should be located in Wisconsin, Illinois, or Indiana.

CAM Business Development Manager Details:

  • Direct Hire position
  • $65,000.00 to $120,000.00 /annually
  • Salaried
  • Own and manage a book of 40-50 Named Accounts.
  • Own and manage existing and growing install base.
  • Drive new software license sales by developing relationships with decision-makers.
  • Work closely with SDRs to convert warm leads into opportunities.
  • Maintain visibility on renewals but defer to Subscription Specialists for execution.
  • Conduct on-site visits, presentations, and demonstrations to drive engagement.
  • Collaborate with technical pre-sales to craft tailored solutions.
  • Exceed revenue targets through effective pipeline management and closing.
  • Travel within the territory as needed for customer visits and tradeshows (up to 50%). 

CAM Business Development Manager Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of B2B software sales experience (preferably in manufacturing/CAM). 
  • Strong understanding of CAD/CAM and CNC machining workflows.
  • Experience managing high-value sales cycles ($50K+ deals). 
  • Ability to travel as needed for on-site meetings and industry events.
  • Strong CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and pipeline management skills.
