Sr. Accountant - SAP Details:
Direct Hire position- $
40.00 to $ 55.00 / hour First Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 08:00am to05:00pm )
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and intercompany transactions
- Perform detailed general ledger account reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Oversee fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, disposals, and monthly depreciation entries
- Maintain and update amortization and lease schedules; post lease-related journal entries and reconcile related GL accounts
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits, leading audit preparation efforts
- Prepare comparative balance sheet and income statement variance analyses and provide clear explanations to stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure audit requests and financial inquiries are addressed accurately and on time
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by developing and enhancing accounting workflows and close processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
Sr. Accountant - SAP Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or audit role.
- 5+ years of SAP experience required.
- Demonstrated expertise in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Experience working in rebate accounting/support in finance at an agricultural chemical manufacturer, life sciences, or pharmaceutical company desired.
- Good planning and organizational skills, with close attention to detail.
- Ability to manage confidential information.
