Irrigation Operator Details:
Direct Hire position- $
21.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 07:00am to03:30pm )
- Make daily headgate readings, report to the Water Master, and control irrigation systems according to water rights and instructions.
- Operate gates, checks, turnouts, and wasteways to regulate water flow.
- Patrol assigned areas to detect leaks, breaks, or obstructions, and perform emergency repairs as needed.
- Maintain canal banks and structures, remove debris, and perform off-season pipe installation and repairs.
- Conduct annual crop surveys, weed inspections, and complete other duties as assigned.
Irrigation Operator Qualifications:
- Experience with irrigation systems is a plus but not required.
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have a reliable vehicle and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work outdoors.
- Must be available 24/7 during the irrigation season.
- Must have CDL A
- Must have experience with all forms of heavy equipment including blades and dump trucks
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
