Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.

What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?

Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Helping you stay secure - how to recognize a scam

Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

Wild Game Butcher Details:

Temp-to-Hire position
$22.00 /hour
Full Time work available
First Shift (08:00am to 05:00pm)

Standing full shift, and lifting 70lbs throughout the shift.
Bringing animals in from the cooler on the rails and then moving them to the breakdown station.
Moving heavy portions over to the bone saw and then separating those portions out for themselves or other cutters.
Both traditional meat and wild game cutting.
Flexibility to step in where needed to ensure no one person is under or overloaded.

Wild Game Butcher Qualifications:

Proficiency in breaking down a variety of animals on your own with no guidance.
Ability to identify and solve workflow bottlenecks, keeping the process streamlined.
Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards in meat processing.
Willing to ask questions, make observations and suggestions for improvement, able to disagree and commit, when necessary.
