Financial Counselor Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
17.93 to $ 24.66 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 08:00am to05:00pm )
- Responsible for analyzing patient’s financial status and determining eligibility for insurance enrollment and/or financial assistance programs.
- Responds to telephone and written inquiries related to patient accounts.
- Assists patients with questions and concerns, explains charges and responds to other related inquiries.
- Collects accurate payment amounts and posts payments in the appropriate system.
- Reviews program guidelines and assists patients or responsible individuals with financial assistance applications.
- Consistently reviews past due bills and follow-up documentation
- Assists in enrollment of qualifying patients in AHCCCS and/or other insurance programs
Financial Counselor Qualifications:
- 1yr. of hospital or clinic insurance billing or collection experience
- Basic knowledge and understanding of State Medicaid program
- Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
