Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.

What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?

Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Helping you stay secure - how to recognize a scam

Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

Chip Recovery Technician

Looking for a hard-working Rockstar to join the Machine Shop team with a large and growing manufacturing organization in the semi-conductor industry.

Chip Recovery Technician Details:

Temp-to-Hire position
$20.00 /hour
Full Time work available
First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 03:30pm)

• Collection and Removal of aluminum chips in the machine shops

• Clean & Mop the machine shops floors to remove excess oil - weekly

• Dump the aluminum chip bins

• Keep areas around the recycle bins swept , organized, and cleaned up

• Shuttle filled trash dumpsters to front lot, move emptied ones to appropriate areas. -- check daily

• Empty trash cans (large ones in common areas i.e.: break room, hallways)

• Clean, mop, and organize common areas

• Order required pertinent supplies through manager -- as needed

Chip Recovery Technician Qualifications:

Preferred Skills :

• Experience working in a production environment

• Coordination with others to complete job while not hindering production

• Working a forklift

Physical Demands :

• Ability to lift 35 pounds by self in safe manner. Ability to bend, squat, reach, twist, push, lift and carry as needed.
