Diesel Mechanic Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
25.00 to $ 28.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday )
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, and related components.
- Perform preventative maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacements.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve problems.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and service recommendations.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Work on various types of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding repair needs and timelines.
- Must have own tools
Diesel Mechanic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy truck technician.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, and hydraulics.
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment and hand/power tools safely.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must be DOT Certifiable, Experience will be verified through DOT Licensed shops for pervious experience
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Applicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Report
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
