Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.

What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?

Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Helping you stay secure - how to recognize a scam

Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

Supply Chain Admin Assistant Details:

Temp-to-Hire position
$20.00 /hour
Full Time work available
First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 03:30pm)

Assist in the follow-up with suppliers to confirm receipt of purchase order and verify open orders are acknowledged and queued for shipment.
Conduct follow-up communications with suppliers for all new purchase orders to verify receipt, pricing accuracy, and delivery date commitments.
Verify that manufacturer/supplier part numbers and pricing are accurately maintained within the Epicor Supplier Price List.
Review and confirm that order multiples and minimum quantities are correctly established in Epicor to reduce the need for PO revisions.
Support procurement process improvements by gathering and verifying supplier and order data.

Supply Chain Admin Assistant Qualifications:

1-2 years of purchasing/buying experience required
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
Must have the ability to sit and stand for long periods of time
Lifting ability of 25-50lbs
Must have reliable transportation to get to work

Applicant may be subject to a background check
Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
