Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.

What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?

Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Helping you stay secure - how to recognize a scam

Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Seed Production Associate to join our production team located in Kentwood, MI!

Seed Production Associate Details:

Temp-to-Hire position
$19.00 /hour
Full Time work available
First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 03:30pm)

Operate and adjust packaging machinery to meet weight, count, and quality requirements.
Blend, weigh, and package seeds according to specifications.
Assemble and label packaged seeds for inventory or retail displays.
Keep accurate records of seed lot numbers, germination dates, and counts.
Maintain a clean, safe work area and equipment.

Seed Production Associate Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED.
Strong math and attention to detail skills required. Will have to pass a math and measure test.
Basic computer and Microsoft Excel skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Forklift certification a plus.

Applicant may be subject to a background check
Pre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment
