Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.

What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?

Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Helping you stay secure - how to recognize a scam

Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

Weekend Days Material Handler Details:

Temp-to-Hire position
$21.50 /hour
Full Time work available
Weekend work required
Weekend Shift (Friday through Sunday from 06:00am to 06:30pm)

Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, move, and stage products. o Transport pallets, crates, and materials throughout the warehouse while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
Perform daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
Assist with inventory management by scanning, labeling, and organizing products in designated storage locations.
Follow all warehouse safety procedures and OSHA guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.

Weekend Days Material Handler Qualifications:

Willing to follow the dress code that consists of black pants or shorts, closed toed shoes, and a plain grey shirt
Able to drive & operate a forklift proficiently and safely
Willing and able to pass any applicable forklift testing and assessments
Able to start immediately and willing to work the schedule

Applicant may be subject to a background check
Applicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Report
Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
