Casting QA Engineer Details:

  • Direct Hire position
  • $75,000.00 to $95,000.00 /annually
  • First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)

Perform engineering duties in planning and designing tools, fixtures, jigs, gating / risering of DISA Vertical and Georg Fisher Horizontal patterns.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
  • Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
  • Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
  • Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
  • Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.

Casting QA Engineer Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (four-year college or technical school) or equivalent experience
  • Experience with tool, jig, fixture design, and gating/risering systems for foundry patterns
  • Proficient in CAD software such as CATIA and SolidWorks
  • Strong understanding of casting processes (DISA Vertical and Georg Fischer Horizontal patterns)
  • Experience interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics
  • Knowledge of ferrous microstructures and metal casting defects
  • Ability to use NOVACAST or MAGMA casting simulation software (or willingness to learn)
